Great Hotels Academy
Great Hotels Organisation has an in-house training facility to assist in the understanding of how inventory and rates are distributed through the internet and GDS.
This means that once hotels have the sophisticated G-rez technology, Great Hotels Academy can help them make sure that their properties are set up correctly to take full benefit from it. A dedicated GH account manager works with the hotel to ensure they receive the support and training necessary to use G-rez effectively and, as a result, see an increase in reservations and profits.
Courses reveal rate strategy and demonstrate how G-rez can become a tactical tool, as well as covering sales and marketing programmes. There are several levels of training available to G-rez clients:
Great Start training is for new members joining the GW chain code to show them how to set up and manage the technology, and to give them the knowledge to maximise revenue through optimum use of all available services. The information and strategies are tailored so that they are relevant to the specific property.
Electronic Distribution training is a 2-day classroom-style course which takes place at venues around Europe with 4 or 5 hotels participating at each. The training outlines what the various distribution channels are, and shows how to get the best from electronic inventory and rate distribution. A key session gives an understanding of consortia programmes and teaches participants how to bid via the Request for Proposal tool so that they can capitalise on the ability to penetrate key global markets.
Revenue Management training is designed to give hotels new resources, tools and knowledge in how to increase revenue through optimal yield practices. Participants learn how to forecast accurately and implement the most efficient revenue management alternative for their property.
Hire the Trainer is a one-day consultancy/review programme for properties on an individual basis. Participants can select the topics most relevant to them and customise the training session.
Telephone training is available at any time using sharing software – Webex – to allow the trainer and trainee to view and work through documents, presentations and web pages together, even though they are at different locations.
